Fleet Operations

The Fleet Operations tab provides a structured overview of fleet vehicle management, focusing on setting up fleets, managing vehicles, monitoring usage, and optimizing fleet operations. It is designed for business owners managing electric vehicle (EV) fleets and integrating with ChargePoint charging stations.

A fleet consists of a collection of vehicles that share common information configured for the group, including pricing, access control, funding, and telematics integration. Each vehicle within the fleet is linked to a unique vehicle identifier and an RFID card serial number. Utilizing the fleet features enables you to:

• Reduce capital expenses through power sharing.

• Lower operational costs via scheduled charging and other energy management functionalities.

• Limit charging access to fleet vehicles, preventing unauthorized use by the general public.

• Conduct capacity planning and perform various analytics.

• Utilize a fuel card for charging at stations that require payment.
