Add a New Vehicle

To add a new vehicle, complete the following steps:

  1. Log in to the ChargePoint Platform.

  2. Navigate to Vehicle Management > Vehicles.

  3. Click + Create and enter the following information:

    Vehicle Details

    Field Name

    Description

    Basic information

    Vehicle name

    Enter a name for the vehicle.

    Make

    Select the manufacturer/make of the vehicle from the drop-down list.

    Model

    Select the model of the vehicle from the drop-down list.

    Year

    Select the year of manufacturing from the drop-down list.

    Vehicle Identifiers

    VIN

    Enter the vehicle's unique identifier.

    Type

    Select one of the following and enter a value for the ID type:

    • MAC Address

    • EVID

    • License Plate

    You can add more than one identifier.

  4. Click Create to confirm the details and create a vehicle.
