Limit Per-Port Power Output

To limit per-port power output, complete the following steps:

  1. Log in to ChargePoint Platform.

  2. Navigate to Manage Energy > Shed/Restore.

  3. Click the arrow  ▷  beside your organization name to find the station or group of stations whose power output you want to limit or the arrow  ▷  beside a station if you want to limit power output on just one port.

  4. A green check mark in the Status column means the load control commands have been received by all the stations in the group.

  5. Click Edit.

    The Shed Load window opens.

  6. Set a Duration.

  7. Select one of the following forShed Mode:

    1. Absolute Maximum Power per Port, specify the kW per port.

    2. Relative Percent of Present Load, specify the percentage.

  8. (Optional) Specify the date and time to start the Demand Response event.

    1. Click the Start Time field to display a calendar to select the starting date.

    2. Click the hh and mm drop-down lists to select the starting hour and minute.

      Specifying a date and time is called Scheduled Demand Response and is not applied until the specified date and time; otherwise, it is called Immediate Demand Response.

  9. Click Shed.

  10. ChargePoint software instructs each station to reduce the power per your specified amount and time on a per-port basis.
