Benefits

ChargePoint Driver Management Solution helps you offer and manage the following benefits to electric vehicle (EV) drivers:

• Home charging benefits: A home charger installed by ChargePoint with automatic reimbursement of the cost of home charging sessions.

• Public charging benefits: Access to ChargePoint network public (i.e., on-route) charging stations via the ChargePoint app, where ChargePoint will pay for the drivers' charging sessions and send the invoices directly to your organisation (i.e., drivers do not have to worry about paying for the public charging sessions).

To allow drivers to use these benefits, you must connect drivers to your organisation's ChargePoint Driver Management Solution account. See Connections.

These benefits are applicable only for business purpose charging sessions. By default, for all charging sessions by a driver connected to your organisation's ChargePoint Driver Management Solution account, the ChargePoint app displays the purpose as Business. For non-business purpose charging sessions, drivers must select the purpose as Personal while the charging session is ongoing by navigating to ChargePoint app > > Charging Activity > ongoing charging session > Purpose. When Personal is selected, the driver is able to switch to personal for private charging sessions which will then not be invoiced to the organisation and refer to the relevant driver's landing page for more information.
