Install a Station without a CMK
Mount the Station
-
Hold the station against a wall stud, with the top of the station approximately 1270 mm (50 in) above grade level.
-
Check station alignment using a bubble level.
-
Mark the two bottom mounting holes.
-
Hold the mounting template against the wall. Align the two bottom holes on the template with the holes marked in the previous step, then mark the top hole.
-
If mounting to a wood stud:
-
Drill the three mounting holes using the supplied drill bit.
-
Drive one of the supplied 6 mm (1/4 in) X 51 mm (2 in) lag screws into the top mounting hole using the supplied driver bit. Leave the screw protruding approximately 6 mm (1/4 in) to create a 3 mm (1/8 in) gap between the back of the screw head and the wall.
OR
If mounting to masonry:
-
Drill the three mounting holes by following the instructions for the 6 mm (1/4 in)-20 internally threaded wall anchors.
-
Insert a 6 mm (1/4 in)-20 x 51 mm (2 in) screw into the top mounting hole. Leave the screw protruding approximately 6 mm (1/4 in) to create a 3 mm (1/8 in) gap between the back of the screw head and the wall.
-
-
If the station will be wired from below, instead of through the back, move the plug from the bottom access hole and insert it into the back access hole to prevent dust and water ingress.
-
Hang the station on the protruding lag screw using the notch on the back of the station.
-
Secure the station by inserting the remaining fasteners into the mounting holes below the station’s terminal block:
-
For wood mounting, use two 6 mm (1/4 in) X 51 mm (2 in) lag screws.
-
For masonry mounting, use two 6 mm (1/4 in)-20 x 19 mm (3/4 in) hex bolts. Tighten using a 9 mm (3/8 in) hex driver.
