Appendix B: Set Up Power Link 2000

To set up Power Link 2000, complete the following steps:

Do not power on Power Link 2000 after completing the installation (after installing the covers). An Authorized Commissioning Partner will commission, power on, pinpoint, and configure Power Link 2000 after installation. If you are authorized to do so, complete the following procedures:

Power On

Power Link 2000 must pass commissioning before power on, or warranty limitations apply.

  1. Ensure all doors and panels, covers, vinyl signs, and all other parts have been correctly installed and the work is complete.

  2. Turn on power at the same points that you turned it off.

    If the site has a remote shunt trip switch, ensure that the switch is in the operating position.

  3. Wait for self-diagnostics to run. The system may take several minutes to initiate. You may see messages intermittently until the system fully boots up.

Set Up Power Link 2000

After you power on the charging station at the breaker panel, set up Power Link 2000. To do so, you need the following:

  • ChargePoint installer login credentials.

  • Activation label (QRClosed Quick Response code label including the MACClosed Message Authentication Code address and activation password).

  • The exact location (to the parking space) where the Power Link 2000 is installed.

  • A smartphone with ChargePointInstaller app, Internet connectivity, and QRClosed Quick Response code scanner (usually built into the camera app).

    Scan the QRClosed Quick Response code to download the ChargePointInstaller app and sign up if necessary.

Follow the steps below to set up Power Link 2000:

  1. Open the ChargePoint Installer app and log in.

  2. Follow the onscreen prompts.

    To connect to Power Link 2000 and complete setup, you need to scan the QRClosed Quick Response code provided on the Power Link 2000 display or manually enter the MACClosed Message Authentication Code address and password of Power Link 2000.
