Grant Rights
ChargePoint Driver Management Solution enables users to grant and remove rights from third-party organisations such as customers, service providers, Lease Companies or other entities of the same organisation.
You can use this feature to grant rights to another organisation which will allow the third-party organisation to invite and approve their drivers, access driver's transaction details and home charger installation details etc.
To access the Grant Rights tab, log in to your ChargePoint Driver Management Solution account and navigate to Organisations > Grant Rights.
For more information, refer to the following topics:
Before You Begin
The organisation that you are granting rights to, must already be set up in the ChargePoint Platform. To set up an account for the third-party organisation, contact ChargePoint Support. To get a new organisation set up, the user has to sign a contract and the SalesOps sets up the account. So the correct answer is: if they do not have an organisation created yet, they will have to reach out to the regional Sales Representative.
Once the account is created, the ChargePoint account admin (i.e., Network Manager) at the organisation will receive an email from ChargePoint with a link to set up the account.
To grant rights to a third party, you will need one of the following information from the third party organisation:
-
ChargePoint Organisation ID
You can obtain the ID from the organisation’s network manager or ChargePoint Platform administrator.
-
ChargePoint Organisation Name
Only applicable if the organisation you are granting rights to has already granted rights to you first.
