Enable ChargePoint Protect

ChargePoint Protect is configured at the organization level within the ChargePoint Platform. Once enabled, the settings apply to all the supported stations associated with the organization.

Before enabling the feature, ensure you have access to the Network Manager role in ChargePoint Platform and make sure supported charging stations are assigned to your organization.

Complete the following steps to configure ChargePoint Protect:

1. Log in to ChargePoint Platform and navigate to Organizations.

2. Browse the organization you wish to configure and click View/Edit Organization to open the organization details page.

3. Tap Edit to access configuration options and scroll down to the ChargePoint Protect section.

4. Configure the following parameters to set up station behavior, define network response and display customer facing information:

   1. Security Alarm: Enable the parameter to activate ChargePoint Protect.

   2. Audio Alert: Enable parameter if you want stations to emit an audible alarm during an event.

   3. Duration: Set duration to define how long the alarm remains active before automatically clearing.

   4. Radius: Set radius to determine the distance within which nearby stations will also trigger alerts.

   5. Custom Support Phone Number: Enter a contact number to be displayed on the station screen during an incident.

   6. Custom Contact Email: Enter an email address to receive alert notifications from ChargePoint Platform.

5. Click Save to configure and apply the changes.

ChargePoint Protect will be activated and will automatically respond to cable cut events based on the parameters you have defined, including triggering alerts locally and across nearby stations.
