Configure Session Limit

To configure Session Limit, complete the following steps:

  1. Log in to ChargePoint Platform.

  2. Navigate to Manage Energy > Session Limit.

  3. Use the Filter panel to locate the desired station group to apply or modify the session limit.

  4. Click on a station group and then click Add. The Session Limit window is displayed.

  5. The values in the Organization Name and Group Name fields are automatically populated based on the selection made.

  6. Enter the following information: 

    1. Session Limit: Allows you to define a duration, power, or percentage limit for charging sessions across a group of stations. When a vehicle reaches any of the set limits, charging stops. The next vehicle plugged in will then charge until it reaches the same limit. From the drop-down list select On to enable or Off to disable this setting. If multiple conditions are set, charging will stop when the first condition is met.

    2. When the Vehicle reaches % SOC: Click on this check box to define a limit based on the percentage of State of Charging (SOC).

    3. Up to hrs mins: Click on this check box to define the time limit for the charging session, in hours and minutes.

    4. Up to kWh delivered: Click on this check box to define the maximum energy (kWh) delivered per session.

  7. Click Save to apply the changes.

  8. Click Cancel to discard the changes and close the window.
