Configuration

The Configuration tab summarizes settings configured to manage pricing, accessibility and energy management for the station.

To access the Configuration tab, log in to ChargePoint Platform, navigate to Stations > Stations Overview > Table View. Navigate to the station you wish to access and click anywhere on the column. Tap View/Edit Property. Select the Configuration tab to set up or modify the following parameters for the station.

The table below outlines all the available parameters in the Configuration tab.

Configuration

Field Name

Description

Address

Enter the following information to set up the station address:

  • Address 1

  • Address 2

  • Floor Label (Enter the label for this floor just as it would appear in an elevator (i.e. B2, L, M, 1, 2, 3, 4)

  • City

  • State

  • Postal Code

  • County

  • Country

You can use the map on the left to drag and set the station pin which will automatically populate the above fields. Switch between the Map and Satellite views. You can modify it later.

Lat / Long

Specify the latitude and longitude of the location. Use the pin on the map to update it automatically.

Timezone

Specify the timezone in which the station is located. Enable the Automatically adjust time for Daylight Saving Time option if it is applicable for you.

Helpful Information for Drivers

Enter tips or helpful information for drivers to access.

Customer ID

Displays the customer ID.

Usage Category

Specify the station's usage category. For example, Commercial, Public, Residential, etc.

Customer category

Specify the customer category. For example, Workplace, Retail, Education, etc.

Powered by Green Energy

Specify if the station is powered by green energy.

Accessibility & Pricing

Usable by

Specify who can use the station. Use the drop-down list to select driver groups.

Visible to

Specify who can see the station on their applications and portals. You can limit access by making the station visible to a specific category of drivers.

Station Message

Select a station message from the drop-down list. To create station messages, see Create a Station Message.

Local Information

Select a local information message from the drop-down list. To create local information messages, see Local Information Message.

Pricing Policy

Select the pricing policy from the drop-down list. To create pricing policies, see Create a Pricing Policy.

Waitlist Policy

Select the waitlist policy for the station from the drop-down list. To create waitlist policies, see Create a Waitlist Policy.

Video Ads

Select a video advertisement from the drop-down list and apply it to your station. For more information, see Video Ads.

Access Restriction

Select a group from the drop-down list to restrict access to the station.

Parking Accessibility Port 1

Specify the parking facilities available at your station (Van Accessible and Disabled Parking).

Program

Displays station program details.

Real Time Metering

Enable or disable real time metering. You can use real time metering to monitoring capabilities designed to optimize energy usage, manage electrical loads, and provide accurate, station-level data for both drivers and site hosts.

Power Configuration

Circuit Sharing

Enable or disable circuit sharing for your station.

Power Select (Breaker Rating)

Displays circuit breaker ratings set for your station.

Please reach out to ChargePoint Support to configure the amperage.

Language Preference

Station Language

Select your station language from the drop-down list.

Energy Management

Asset Tag ID

Enter the asset identifier for the charger from your inventory tracking system.

Meter ID

Enter the utility meter number for the charging station.

Service Delivery Point ID

Enter the specific meter socket number associated with the charging station. It is designed to remain fixed even if the physical meter is changed.

Point of Service ID

Enter the specific meter socket which is the station's point of connection to the electrical grid.

Account ID

Enter the station account identification number.

Circuit ID

Enter the circuit identification number for the charging station.

Panel ID

Enter the electrical panel identification number for the charging station.

Port ID

Enter the meter identification number for the port. A single charging station can have more than one port.

Click Save to confirm your changes and Cancel to discard it.
