Video Ads

Video Ads enable users to display full-motion video ads and video slide shows on the ChargePoint charging stations. Easily upload videos or ads to drive sales.

To access the Video Ads tab, log in to ChargePoint Platform and navigate to Stations > Video Ads > Videos Ads.

The table below describes the fields available in this tab.

Use the Show/Hide Columns option to customize the fields that appear in the report.

Video Ads

Field Name

Description

Org Name

Displays the name of the organization.

Ad Name

Displays the name of the video applied to the station or station groups.

Description

Displays the description of the video ad.

Run Time

Specifies the run time of the video ad.

File Size

Specifies the file size of the video ad.

Status

Specifies the status of the video ad (VALIDATED or ENCODING FAILED).

ChargePoint Comments

Displays the comments from the ChargePoint team.

Uploaded Date (IST)

Specifies the upload date and time for the video ad.

Upload By

Specify the user that uploaded the video ad.

No. of Stations

Specifies the number of stations that display the video ad.

You can apply multiple filters to narrow down the data. Select the Add Filter button to include additional fields. Select Contains/Does Not Contain/Is from the drop-down list. Select Match all or Match any radio button. Click Apply Filters to take into consideration the selection made in the filter and generate the report.

Click the Export button to download the data for analysis, auditing, troubleshooting, or compliance tracking.

Export (visible columns): Exports only the fields selected in the Show/Hide Columns.

Export (all columns): Exports all connection data fields, regardless of visibility.

Points to Remember

  • Video ads and video slide shows are currently supported by (Undefined variable: Products.p), (Undefined variable: Products.productCP4000), and (Undefined variable: Products.productExp250) charging stations only.

  • All video ads and video slide shows must be validated by ChargePoint before they can be applied to your stations. ChargePoint validates the video file format and specifications only, not the content of the ad or slide show.

    We recommend you format the video yourself in order to match the content to your station’s resolution and aspect ratio (width and height). However, if that is not possible, you can upload your existing video and the video validations team will format it correctly for your station’s display.
