Scheduled Charging

Scheduled Charging uses a simple on/off mechanism to save your company money on fuel in a convenient way for your drivers.

This feature is currently available for the CPF family of stations only.

Scheduled Charging supports the following features:

  • Drivers can plug in any time they return.

  • Your station automatically delays charging until electricity rates are lower.

  • This simply allows or disallows charging during specified times of the day.

  • For partial or graduated amounts of charging during the day, see Demand Response.

Certain vehicle models allow the driver or fleet manager to set a charging timer in the vehicle. We recommend that fleets disable this feature, as it can prevent a vehicle from charging on route unless the driver knows to explicitly override the vehicle’s timer.

To access the Scheduled Charging tab, log in to ChargePoint Platform and navigate to Stations > Scheduled Charging Policies.
