Create Local Information Message

Local Information is displayed on the 'about page' of the charger interface. This is used for adding local host contact information and or local regulatory compliance information.

To create a local information message, complete the following steps:

  1. Log in to ChargePoint Platform.

  2. Navigate to Stations > Station Messages.

  3. Click New Station Message.

  4. Select Local Information from the Message Type drop-down list.

  5. Enter the following information:

    1. Local Information Name: Enter a name for your message.

    2. Org Name: Enter the name of your organization.

    3. Local Information Text: Enter the message you want displayed on the station. You can enter a maximum of 500 characters.

      Characters not allowed: /\~"<>|

  6. Specify the condition for Release of personal information. You can approve the release of personal information or mark it not required.

  7. Click Save to confirm the changes and Cancel to discard the changes.

Apply Local Information Message

To apply a local information message on a station display, complete the following steps:

  1. Log in to ChargePoint Platform.

  2. Navigate to Stations > Apply Station Messages.

  3. Use filters to navigate to the newly created message. Search for the MAC addres and select the local information message.

  4. Click Apply.

Please check the message on the station screen once it is applied to make sure the message fits the station screen and well visible for drivers.
