Appendix: Power Sharing Kit

Use the Power Share Kit to connect a dual-port charging station to a single circuit.

Kit Contents

If you ordered a Power Share Kit, it includes:

  • Junction Box (1)

  • Cover (1)

  • ¼" Self-Tapping Screws to attach junction box to pedestal (2)

  • Screws to attach cover (2)

  • Wire Nuts (2)

  • Installation Instructions

Turn off circuit breaker.
Do not restore power until installation is complete. Failure to follow these instructions could result in shock or electrocution.

Install the Power Share Kit

  1. Turn off the circuit breaker to disconnect power before starting the installation.

  2. Use the two supplied screws to attach the junction box to the pedestal.

  3. Run the L1 and L2 service wires through the hole in the bottom of the junction box. The maximum wire size allowed is 6 AWGClosed American Wire Gauge.

  4. Twist two wires, approximately 18 inches long, onto each service wire and secure them with wire nuts.

  5. Route a wire to each charging station.

  6. Attach the cover to the junction box by hand-tightening the two supplied screws.
