LV, AC, and DC Surge Suppressors
This section provides instructions for replacing the LV
Low Voltage, AC, and DC surge suppressors in the Power Block.
Required Tools and Materials

Before You Begin
Before servicing the component, complete the following steps:

Remove front upper, mid, and lower panels.

Remove front door.
-
Remove the right or left side transparent shield.

Right side for LV
Low Voltage, AC, and DC input surge suppressors. -
Left side for DC output A and B surge suppressors.

AFTER REPLACING THE COMPONENTS, REVERSE THE ABOVE STEPS TO COMPLETE THE SERVICE.
Replace the Surge Suppressor

Loosen the screws to disconnect the wires connected to a surge suppressor. Use Phillips screwdriver.

Low voltage (LV
Low Voltage) output surge suppressor.Torque the screws to 4.5 Nm (39.8 in-lb) when reconnecting the wires.

AC input surge suppressor.
Torque the screws to 4.5 Nm (39.8 in-lb) when reconnecting the wires.

DC input surge suppressor.
Torque the screws to 4 Nm (35.4 in-lb) when reconnecting the wires.

DC output surge suppressor A (right side) or B (left side).
Torque the screws to 4 Nm (35.4 in-lb) when reconnecting the wires.

Pull the latch on a surge suppressor and then tilt out the surge suppressor to remove it.

Reverse the above steps to reinstall with replacement FRU
Field Replaceable Unit.
While reinstalling, hook the surge suppressor to the mounting bracket, and then tilt it in and press on the latch side to mount it to the bracket.
