Kit Components

This kit is for installing on a Power Link 1000 without the locking holsters or replacing an existing one that has failed.

Before You Begin

  1. Power off the charging station.

  2. Determine if the Power Link 1000 has preassembled covers or unassembled components, remove them as necessary.

  3. Open the lower door.

AFTER INSTALLING, REVERSE THE ABOVE STEPS TO COMPLETE THE SERVICE.

Install Locking Holster Motor Controller

To replace the locking holster motor controller kit, complete the following steps:

  1. Remove the M5 nuts (x3) (use 8 mm socket) on the door and install the controller onto the three studs.

    While reinstalling torque the nuts to 4.5 Nm (40 in-lb).

    Remove the three M5 nuts using 8 mm socket on the door and install the controller onto the three studs

  2. Connect the controller to the main LVClosed Low Voltage wiring and route the cable through the cable ways.

    Connect the controller to the main LV wiring and route the cable through the cable ways.

  3. Connect the holster cable.

    The holster locking motor controller has 1 and 2 numbers on the cover. These numbers represent the cables from the locking motor controller. The cable from 1 is for the left side DC smart cable holster (holster near the door opening), and the cable from 2 is for the right side DC smart cable holster (holster near the door hinge).

    Connect the holster cable.

REVERSE THE ABOVE STEPS TO REMOVE THE CONTROLLER.
