Power Link Controller Board

This topic provides information on replacing the Power Link 1000 controller board.

Required Tools and Materials

Orange and white icon that represents a tool or action.

8 mm socket

   

Before You Begin

  1. Power off the charging station.

  2. Determine if the Power Link 1000 has preassembled covers or unassembled components, remove them as necessary.

  3. Open the upper door.

AFTER INSTALLING, REVERSE THE ABOVE STEPS TO COMPLETE THE SERVICE.

Replace Controller Board

To replace the controller board, complete the following steps:

  1. Disconnect the connectors (x5):

    1. Disconnect three connectors from the bottom of the controller board.

      Disconnect three connectors from the bottom of the controller board.

    2. Disconnect the connectors (x2) at the left and right side of controller board.

      Disconnect the two connectors  at the left and right side of controller board.

    3. Press the small latch on the connector cap to rotate the lever. The connector is unlocked when the lever is 90° to the connector.

      Press the small latch on the connector cap  to rotate the lever. The connector is unlocked when the lever is 90 degrees to the connector.

      3. Cap

    4. Pull the connector out to disconnect.

  2. Loosen the M5 nuts (x4) (use 8 mm socket).

    While reinstalling torque the nuts to 4.5 Nm (40 in-lb).

    Loosen the four M5 nuts using 8 mm socket and while reinstalling torque the nuts to 4.5 Nm or 40 in-lb

  3. Lift the controller board to disengage the keyholes.

    Lift the controller board to disengage the keyholes.

REVERSE THE ABOVE STEPS TO REINSTALL THE CONTROLLER.
