Replace the Front or Rear LED Diffuser

To replace the front or rear LED diffuser, complete the steps in this chapter.

Before you Begin

Complete the following procedures:

  1. Power Off the Station.

  2. Remove the Area Light Bar.

  3. Remove the LED Display.

  4. Remove the Top Front Panel.

  5. Remove the Middle Vent Panel.

  6. Remove the Bottom Front Panel.

  7. Remove the Top Rear Panel.

  8. Remove the Middle Rear Panel.

  9. Remove the Bottom Rear Panel.

  10. Open the Power Module Holders (Ground Straps).

  11. Open the Power Module Holders (EMI Shields).

Replace the LED Diffuser

These steps are the same for either the front or the rear LED diffuser.

  1. Use a T25 Torx to remove the three screws holding the LED diffuser (front or rear) to the top of the frame: two screws located in the left and right corners of the frame rail (a), one screw in the middle (b).

    2. For the rear diffuser, clearance is tight between the top frame and the top of the coolant reservoir. Use an Allen wrench or short multi-tool for easier access.
    Do not remove the swing arm plate screws (fastened with flat washers) behind the diffuser screws.

  2. Gently route the attached “+DC5V” cable out of the hole in the left frame rail (when viewing the station from the front). Remove the old diffuser.

  3. Route the cable of the new diffuser through the left frame rail. Leave it unplugged until the LED display is reinstalled in a later step.

  4. Hold the new diffuser firmly in place against the gasket.

    5. Make sure that the new diffuser is the same (front or back) as the old diffuser. When installed correctly, the cable exits on the left side of the dispense (when viewing the station from the front).

  5. Replace the three T25 screws to fasten the LED diffuser to the top frame. Torque to 2.5 Nm (22 in-lb).

    6. When reinstalling, keep the brass inserts on the diffuser faced down to ensure correct orientation.

REVERSE THE ABOVE STEPS TO REPLACE THE EMIClosed Electromagnetic Interference SHIELD (IF APPLICABLE), REAR PANELS, FRONT PANELS, LED DISPLAY, AND AREA LIGHT BAR.

Power On the Station.
